UHfR – Strategic Planning & Advocacy

Gia Contribution
United Hands for Refugees (UHfR) is a grassroots organisation focused on advocating for the rights of refugees, particularly vulnerable displaced communities, with a strong focus on resettlement, protection, and human rights accountability. Gia strengthened UHfR’s advocacy capacity and refined their organisational strategy.
Strategic Planning & Capacity Building:
Gia led the development of a comprehensive Theory of Change, quantifying metrics and strategic plan for UHfR, outlining their vision for the next 6 months to 3 years. Gia facilitated workshops to create clarity on strategic goals and resource needs.
Advocacy & Networking:
Gia facilitated a Power Mapping exercise to assess UHfR’s position in the broader human rights and refugee advocacy space, identifying key stakeholders and potential partners. Gia also developed a tailored advocacy strategy to amplify UHfR’s messaging on refugee resettlement and protection, which included outreach to international donors, human rights defenders, and policymakers.
